Monty Cleworth: Legacy Lasts for Generations
Monty Cleworth remembers his childhood visits to the Museum as if they were yesterday. Exploring the dioramas and even hosting one of his birthday parties in Gates Planetarium developed his interest in the natural world and his commitment to being a lifelong learner.
These days, Monty is particularly enthusiastic about the Rocky Mountain Science Collections Center, opening in February 2014, because "collections will be stored in a climate-controlled, organized way, ensuring they are preserved for generations to come."
As a member of the Museum's Board of Trustees and the DMNS Foundation, Monty has encouraged a new generation of leaders in the Colorado nonprofit community, using his professional experience with one of the country's leading asset management consulting firms to help move the Museum forward. Monty is also a member of the Edwin Carter Legacy Society, a group of committed individuals who have made a personal commitment by including the Museum in their estate plans. His planned gift will help the Museum continue to inspire curiosity and encourage exploration and discovery.
